Metaphysics and the Discovery of Mind Over Matter
Vrilock’s spiritual awakening podcast explores the metaphysics of mind over matter, a topic that covers vast territory both philosophically and experientially. In the United States, serious interest in the practical reality of mind influencing matter gained institutional momentum in the early 1970s when the CIA and the Department of Defense began quietly funding research into paranormal phenomena under programs such as SCANATE and, later, the Stargate Project (1972–1995). These classified efforts investigated remote viewing—the ability of the mind to perceive distant or hidden targets—and included experiments at Stanford Research Institute (SRI) with physicists Russell Targ and Harold Puthoff working alongside subjects like Ingo Swann and Pat Price. Although the remote-viewing program was officially decommissioned in 1995 with mixed public conclusions, declassified documents confirm statistically significant results that defied conventional materialist explanations.
Parallel to government work, the 1970s also saw the rise of civilian research into psychokinesis (PK) and bio-PK. At the Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research lab (PEAR, 1979–2007), founded by Robert G. Jahn, dean of Princeton’s School of Engineering, decades of rigorous, double-blind experiments using random-event generators showed tiny but persistent deviations from chance when human participants attempted to influence the machines with intention alone—effects on the order of a few parts per ten thousand, yet reproducible over millions of trials. Similar micro-PK studies were conducted at the Institute of Noetic Sciences (founded 1973 by astronaut Edgar Mitchell) and the former Mind Science Foundation in San Antonio.
The broader cultural backdrop included the human-potential movement, the influx of Eastern meditative disciplines, and early biofeedback research (pioneered in the late 1960s and 1970s by scientists like Barbara Brown and Elmer Green at the Menninger Foundation), which demonstrated that human beings could voluntarily control supposedly involuntary physiological processes—heart rate, skin temperature, and even brain-wave patterns—simply through focused attention. These findings blurred the once-sharp line between mind and body, and by extension, mind and external reality.
Thus, while mainstream academic psychology largely dismissed macroscopic “mind over matter” claims, a small but persistent thread of respectable American scientific inquiry—from classified military programs to peer-reviewed engineering and consciousness research—has kept the question open for half a century: under controlled conditions, intention appears capable of producing measurable, if subtle, effects on physical systems.
My understanding of mind over matter was forged in childhood, delivered through a rather fantastical series of early-life episodes. These experiences laid the foundation for a lifetime of phenomena, including living the lives of other people while asleep and visitations from supernatural entities that spanned my youth. Crucially, I was granted profound visions of the future—visions that foresaw the Earth breaking apart, devastating weather conditions, asteroids, and the creeping threat of black holes. Once, as a child walking down a hallway in my parents’ home, I even experienced a momentary, complete shift: seeing myself as an elderly man and feeling the full weight of age and frustration. Knowledge meets wisdom and produces the wizard. The one seeking such qualities is not a wizard but is the old identity after a self-transformation is begot. For instance, I am not the same child fearfully seeking defense against the supernatural who went on to become wise. I am the latter. I am transformed and cast off my old garments. ⚡️ Authoring Reality is Real—But How?
As I’ve alluded to already, the universe is an operating system built upon threads of information. Yes, we could call some of these quantum threads, but that term often mistakes the scaffolding for the cathedral. It’s like calling the internet “a bunch of copper wires and light pulses.” That’s accurate if you’re an engineer fixing a router at 3 a.m., but useless if you’re trying to explain how a single tweet can topple empires.
My articulate criticisms of the high priests of modern science restate the obvious, so I won’t rehash those arguments here. Suffice it to say, you must simply accept that what goes on in your head is initially produced on the astral realm and later blueprinted onto the material universe at some substantial degree. The Formula of Need and Desire
Authoring reality is based on our relationship with finer levels of reality that are resonating with our thoughts. How, then, do you author reality? Let alone rewrite it? (The latter has some connection to radionics on many levels, but I will see you in the Vrilock Club regarding the more intricate details, which involve extensive learning and training.)
Before we get to the “‘how’ to author reality,” an individual must discover the need; for without need, no formula is possible. All operations require a balanced equation. Often, that need comes from desire. However, desire can be initially nonexistent. This means a need for change exists, but the desire (and motivation) has not yet been unearthed.
💻 Spells as Executable Programs
Desire is one of the key components required to formulate a proper spell. Now, I can see some of my more materialist friends rolling their eyes at the mere mention of the word ‘spell’. But bear with me. A spell is simply a program that is executable by means of applied mentalism. And if the conformity of reality to the will of an individual is what we’re talking about, then we can safely refer to what we are doing as ‘magick.’ So, let us talk about need, and then we’ll move on to desire.
Need
The Necessity of People
I know, I know: a psionics operator often tends to work alone. But you don’t live in a laboratory or a magick temple. You still need to move about and get things done with your own hands and feet most of the time. This naturally begets a need for other persons to be involved in your life—it is unavoidable. Since interacting with people is the central game of life, and psionics often works best when people are the subject of operations, we must acknowledge this critical component.
The Problem of Disposability
So, what kinds of problems arise from people? I’ll name one of the biggest problems that is often overlooked: all too often, the best people in an organization vanish. The kind cashier you enjoyed talking to every Sunday is gone. Your provider, who took the time to diagnose your symptoms—even breaking out their laptop to show you the fine details of human anatomy—is replaced by some bozo buffoon who doesn’t give a rat’s ass about your wellness. Even the reception desk staff seem less friendly and more adverse to greeting patients. Whatever the change, you suddenly feel unwelcome in an environment where you once placed your trust.
This corporate disposability is all too common and seems to be exacerbated by conditions in our contemporary society.
Establishing Your True Need
In such negative situations, you must immediately disengage from the drama and reset your focus to your actual True Need. Do you actually need that specific doctor? Do you actually need that specific grocery store? If so, can it be replaced elsewhere?
Establishing your True Need early on will save you a lot of unnecessary work in magick or psionics later. You must reserve your Psi Power for what is going to be most beneficial to you. This makes your operation potentially ten times more effective. This is important so you don’t get discouraged tackling problems at every corner of life, which will leave you overwhelmed and exhausted.
Overcoming the ‘Excitable Person’
The first step in becoming a psionic power master is to overcome the urge to be an ‘excitable person.’ Try to remain calm and in control. If this slogan helps, use it as a reminder when people ask you how you are doing (or when you ask yourself): “I’m chill’n like a villain.”
Let’s face it: You walk into a modern clinic, and the staff eyeballs lock onto you with a grin from a doctor who’s thinking, “Oh, good! Here comes our next donor!” Before a month of appointments is through, you feel like a pin cushion. While it is good to get advice from experts, a sovereign human being is not dictated to by anyone. You must ultimately make your own decisions if you are going to be a psionic mastermind. (This is not medical advice, mind you; it is my observation. You will, of course, follow your own inner guidance and consult your physician.)
Identifying Self-Inflicted Needs
Having said all of this, you must have a real need when you’re inviting any kind of change into your life. Now then, what is your real need?
Is it a health problem you truly cannot live with? Or is it something you are bringing about by habit or unknowingly consuming? Let’s face it—a lot of doctor visits are doubtless self-inflicted. Are you eating something you don’t know a whole lot about, or giving in to habit instead of thinking it through? Are you taking over-the-counter meds to sleep when a more natural remedy is accessible? Perhaps there is a reason you have difficulty sleeping that you are overlooking. Find it, track it down, and fix it.
You may find this approach far more effective, satisfying, and downright cost-effective. Reserve your power and your money for what you truly need and desire. Speaking of which, desire is something you have to have to put that extra oomph in your spell casting—err, programming.
Desire
Your desires are either your own or put there by someone else. Taking initiative to understand yourself is going to help you to plan your life with some peace of mind. Knowing that your desire is clear will help you to place your energy and focus wisely and efficiently. These desires you have can range from just about anything one can image whether the goal is clear or only an instinctive feeling. You might be desirous of procuring a new love partner or actively seeking a new position or job. I will provide the example and solution for you next by considering one of these desires to be fulfilled.
So, let us propose that you desire to make a bigger paycheck at your job. Firstly, you must consider whether or not such an opportunity exists or can exist at your current place of employment. If the latter is true then it is a simple matter of creating a thought-form which will effectively create that opening for you to jump on. If this is the case the procedure is relatively simple, but the steps you do not want to miss. I will outline these for you know.
Creating a new job opening at your place of employment:
You’re going to create an opportunity where there is need. If there is no need then you must take more time to create that need, and then ensure that it continues to be needed by the company.
✨ Steps to Create and Deploy a Thought-Form
Phase 1: Energy Generation and Thought-Form Creation
Aura Charge (Vitalization): Visualize energy from the cosmos entering your aura. With every inhale, feel this vital energy pulsate and build power within you. Continue this until you feel saturated—a glowing vessel of light and psychic power.
Form the Sphere: Imagine this energy flowing outward from your forehead in a focused beam of light. Direct the beam to a point a few feet in front of you, where the light coalesces into a dense sphere of energy.
Command the Thought-Form: Instruct this sphere with a clear, concise command, such as: “Open a high-paying job for me.”
Power Boost: Give the thought-form a few minutes of extra charge by visualizing ambient cosmic energy flowing into the sphere, packing it tight with power.
Phase 2: Preparing the Radionic Amplifier
Acquire the Tool: Download or stream the Awesome Amplifiers video course from my shop.
Select the Amplifier: Print out the Amplifier pattern that resonates best with your intended operation.
Select the Sigil: Print out a suitable pattern for your goal. I have consistently found excellent results using the Sigil of Gusion. I also recommend using my Gus-5-Key amplifier for radionic amplifier magick.
Setup: Place your chosen sigil onto the center of the amplifier pattern.
Phase 3: Charging and Launching the Final Program
Mental Clearing: Meditate briefly to further clear your mind of any distraction.
Final Charge & Command: Repeat the process from Step 1, but this time, direct your visualization and attention toward the Amplifier Pattern. Imagine the pattern spewing forth a vortex of energy. Sculpt this energy into a sphere of light.
Inject the Command: Give the sphere the same instruction, but use the Amplifier’s key sigil to empower the command. Formulate it as: “Gusion (or name of your chosen sigil), get me a promotion at work (or open a new job with high pay for me).”
Launch: See the charged orb of light fly off into the void to commence its work.

Now, back to Desire!
Desire is the psychic fuel felt at either level of the emotional chakras.
Heart Chakra (Anahata): This center holds the higher-level emotions like love, lament, romance, and compassion.
Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura): This center is where we feel the more assertive and aggressive desires for things such as power, victory, increased intelligence abilities, and even brute strength.
Concentrating your attention onto either of these centers will bring your mind into contact with the energies of desire at the level required for your operation.
